John Y Brown Jr. – Businessman, Professional basketball owner, Gambler, Celebrity Governor, Father – had it all.
He turned Kentucky Fried Chicken into the hottest fast-food franchise in the world, became a multimillionaire, married Miss America, and was elected the Governor of Kentucky. He owned three pro basketball teams including the Boston Celtics, saved the Democratic Party, and started numerous chain restaurants, including Kenny Rogers Roasters. He owned a Yacht and Tennis Club in Miami with Warren Beatty, and one of his closest friends was Muhammad Ali.
He advised Donald Trump to run for president. While Governor; he lost $1.3 million in one night of gambling, and his best friend and business associate was arrested and convicted of drug trafficking, in connection with an international drugs for arms conspiracy.
