Our Intention
In the final chapter of his own epic story, John Y Brown, Jr. gets a chance to tell his side. Using archival footage, animation, and popular music from each era, we are giving John Y’s life the cinematic approach that it deserves. Rather than just tell his story, we drill down into his history to examine the reality of the American Dream, the Horatio Alger Myth, and the Prosperity Gospel through the lens of one man’s incredible, colorful life.
We have exclusive multiple interviews with John Y Brown, Jr., and we have interviewed over 30 people from his life to illustrate his often complex and personal story into a five-part documentary series, with the ultimate goal of finding a home for it on a streaming platform.
